Importance of Therapist Affiliation with Governing Bodies

Hey lovely clients, well it’s been busy, very busy, meeting lots of lovely new clients and getting to know you plus of course to my regulars – big love 🙂 Yesterday I received my winter edition of the International Therapist magazine which is a publication by the FHT (Federation of Holistic Therapists), I decided early on whilst studying that it’s super important to be affiliated with a professional body not only does it underpin to my clients that I am fully qualified to perform treatments but also that I am committed to continuous personal development with shared information, white papers and reading publications that can enhance everything I do at Sanity.  I’ll also be adding to my home page on the Sanity webpage this link which allows you to check that your therapist has taken the professional decision to commit to the FHT which not only means having the right qualifications to become a member in the first place but also you need to ensure constant learning (CPD points) to renew year on year.

The Federation of Holistic Therapists (FHT) is the largest and leading professional association for therapists in the UK and Ireland. With thousands of members offering a broad range of specialism – from sports and remedial therapies, to complementary healthcare and holistic beauty treatments – the FHT is the association of choice for professional therapists.

Silliness, Reflection and Frustrations

Oh isn’t easy to just blog about frustrations, sitting here I can think of …….. WAY too many, but that’s no way to live positively is it.  I covered the topic of being grounded in my last blog and a few of my clients have read the blog and it’s a topic of conversation when they visit, just how to achieve it!  One of my Holistic friends told me that affirmations are a great way to start, in simplistic terms just 5-10 minutes a day looking into a mirror or just saying to yourself all the things that make you great, try looking at yourself from other’s eyes,  it’s difficult to focus on that but it’s the start of truly building your self esteem up.  If you don’t love yourself nobody else will, I’ve heard that a million times but it’s true!
