15 Jan Tea Tree Oil
Top tip today, Tea Tree Oil, it’s a must in your household, if you don’t know how to go about buying it then give me a shout and I’ll get some in when you next visit but the reason I’m mentioning this is in particular to a trend we see in this industry during these months with our feet. Over the summer it’s nice to get a Gel pedicure polish it lasts, it’s shiny, it doesn’t chip but it also doesn’t allow the nail to breathe, this is important because if you pick up a slight infection in the nail having polish over the top is going to make matters worse. I’m seeing nail infections a lot at the moment, most people don’t even know there is an issue until they have the polish removed then discovered a yellowish/black tinge to the nail colour and thicker almost creamy nails underneath and they assume it’s just a knock and will go away and continue covering with polish because it’s doesn’t look too pretty. Here’s the reason for the blog, use this time of year to care for your toe nails, have a good pedicure, one that addresses the dry skin, the cuticles and you will need a good scrub and either a mask or a paraffin wax dip but here’s the important bit DONT apply polish, your probably hardly getting your toes out in the open it won’t harm to leave them to breathe, lets get those lovely little pinkies….. well pink for the summer and then you can embrace all the polish you like knowing underneath you have fit and healthy nails 🙂 Get a small piece of cotton wool wet it and apply a few drops on top of the tea tree oil and apply directly to the toe nails paying particular attention to the cuticles and sides where the pesky little critters can enter and begin their mayhem. I offer a nude manicure/pedicure here at Sanity, your toes will only be covered with OPI’s Nail Envy which is a treatment and gives a little shine, the feet will be nourished, buffed, scrubbed, cuticles tidy and nails cut your feet will feel lovely just leave the polish for a bit.
Silliness and Reflection BUT I’m adding Frustration to this title too 🙂
It’s that time of the week again people 🙂 Hope your all planning lovely weekends with your family and friends, after our little snow flurry yesterday I know the kids are praying that it dumps a load over the weekend and no school next week – sadly not I think :-0 Tax return today ARRGGGHHHHH why do they make it so difficult and been hanging on the phone now for over 10 minutes, taking bets how long it takes to get an answer from a real human being, something rare these days, in my next blog I’ll let you know, lets shame these HMRC processes that are rubbish 🙂 Little update while typing this I finally get through some 19 minutes later, the guy is clearly wound up by a previous call and hangs up on me! Really helpful that HMRC you work for us not the other way round. Rant over.
