I’m very sorry to have to write to you again, for the third time my professional has been criminalised from earning a living. Despite the original agreement with the Federation of Holistic Therapists having the necessary clinical training to deliver treatment for pain and mental health support, our clinics having sterile environments that protect you, our Government has yet again u-turned on this decision. Such a disappointment that we are criminalised from earning a living with no support of any evidence (FOI’s have been submitted for transference evidence in our settings) but are now actively refusing to provide data. There also is no end date to this denial of service.
With this in place I have to cancel and suspend all Sanity appointments, I can advise you that Wini Thomas the Osteopath can continue working in my business premises as somehow the virus is smart enough to know that an osteopath treatment is different to a muscle pain treatment and therefore has not been criminalised in the same way.
I hope as a country we start to see the logic that lockdowns are killing way more than opening up and managing local containment but feel at this stage, honesty, logic and sense is now a rare quality with politicians. Hope is coming as other countries have now dropped mass testing asymptomatic patients and the flawed the PCR test, and getting back to a community based response that has been the basis of all scientific recommendation for millennia without the need to deny non covid patients screening and urgent surgical needs.
